Jenna and Adam are one of those couples that just fit! Everything about them meshes and molds perfectly together to create a relationship that exemplifies authentic, genuine, and exciting love. When asking how they first met, I was shocked to find out it was at a bar!- in Jenna’s words, “I know it’s cliche, but it was the best night ever.” At their first encounter, they said they instantly connected. After the bar closed at 2 am, they walked to the beach and continued chatting and getting to know each other. Since then, they’ve been together for four years; the rest is history!
Intimate Sunrise Engagement
We decided to shoot at sunrise to capture those warm and glowy undertones perfectly. I’m a sucker for soft and airy lighting, so this session made my photographer heart explode with giddiness. Adam + Jenna are currently living in San Diego, but the couple will seize any chance to travel, which brought them to Oahu for their pictures! My inspiration for this shoot was to A) capture the intimacy between the two and B) highlight the gorgeous scenery I got to work with. The couple enjoys exploring new things and places together, hence the various spots we shot! It was only fitting to have them climb up the cliffs to display the contrast between the rocks’ dark colors and their bright clothing. Following that, we can’t forget how the sunrise perfectly illuminated them on the beach! Talk about warm, neutral undertones!
