It is always the biggest compliment when fellow artists pick me to shoot their portraits. Angelea is an incredibly talented fashion and editorial photographer, while Tim is a videographer for music videos. These two are so wildly creative and talented! They’re doing some big things out in Nashville. Angelea and Tim got married last year and wanted a special week to celebrate their anniversary. They chose Hawaii since they both love to explore and experience new places.
They were up for an adventure, and it paid off! We had this beautiful cliffy private Hawaii beach all to ourselves and some of the dreamiest lighting. I love to do my sessions with lighting as a top priority, with the soft blues of the ocean reflecting the most beautiful glow. The two were okay with getting a little dirty and having fun during their session. Angelea started the session in a beautiful dark teal dress that flowed effortlessly in the ocean breeze.
Private Cliffside Beach
We carefully climbed the cliff rocks, making sure to leave no trace of us being there. As an adventure photographer here on Hawaii, it is so important to take care of this precious island. They were after a fashion, lifestyle, documentary, editorial feel for our time together, and we created just that. Photography, for me, is not just documenting this moment in time but the legacy of the images. These photos will long outlast our clients and me – they will stand in time for generations to come.
